AL Lewis III

AL is no newbie to the food world. As a 3rd generation seafood supplier, Al learned at an early age the nitty gritty, ins and outs of the seafood industry. His previous jobs have been extensive, between being owner/operator of seafood plants, retail markets & restaurants, and even a few years on a fishing vessel connecting chefs directly to the treasures from the sea; AL knows the industry inside and out.

 

AL is family-oriented and relationship-dedicated which he transfers over to his professional life by partnering with chefs across the US in providing them with responsibly acquired premium food items. AL and Josh came together to create Hook to Fork having realized they both shared the same foundation of quality to build an integrity-run sustainable company.

Josh Toth

Josh Toth was born into the world of food and served as a human guinea pig for his children’s cookbook author mother. This early life exposure fueled Josh’s passion for the food industry. Josh figured out early on that food has the potential to impact people, and he carried that fire with him throughout his career. Starting out working as a line cook in a hotel kitchen, Josh eventually opened up his own restaurant on the east coast in Connecticut. Later he moved on to a start-up that connected fishermen & farms directly to the chef; utilizing FedEx to overnight drop ship the product directly to the chef’s hands.

Fast Forward 20+ years, Josh had known his business partner AL Lewis for years before finally coming together to create a company that procures hard-to-find premium items for fine dining chefs. Josh uses his extensive knowledge of the industry and his passion for sustainability to provide the freshest sustainably sourced products. Josh feels the goal of Hook to Fork is to be “your partner for your next fine dining menu.”
